Giving and getting it
Giving and getting feedback can be awkward for many people. Most people wish to keep the work they do private and allow only the professor who will grade their assignment see the piece they have done. Some people don’t feel that confident both in their skills to write and in their ability to give knowledgeable, educated feedback.
It is impossible to have successful writing without this process. No one is capable of writing a paper and having it be perfect the first time drafted. Even if the author thinks it is written properly, chances are the author is just blinded to his or her own mistakes. A second or third view by someone other than the author is needed to bring out all the errors.

If one understands the importance of the giving and getting feedback process, then one will feel the responsibility of learning how to give feedback. This means that it is important to give concise proofreading remarks that are clear and make sense. The following link is to a blog that explains the importance and seriousness of proofreading. http://proofreaders-editors.blogspot.com/
